After ten years in corporate America, it is only natural for this Mom of four to think in business terms. It is often necessary to table individual goals for the greater good. Spreadsheets are used for grocery lists, nap schedules, recipes, and of course to track all finances. All details aside, it is important to see the big picture and think outside the box in order to get results and improve over Last Year. But never forget that at the end of the day it is the bottom line that ultimately counts. This blog will hopefully give you the net-net of what is going on in our little venture.

Late Night at the Office

I was so bored last night waiting for Ben to get home that I wrote him a song, to try to get him to call me. He was pretty wiped out and did not even understand my e-mail. I was pretty bummed out because I thought I was hilarious, but it was midnight so I might have been a little delirious myself.

Tune of Hey there Delilah, by the Plain White Tees:

"Hey there, Benjamin.... What's it like in the Yum building? I'm 20 miles away, but boy, tonight you look so tired, yes you do, earnings release must be getting the best of you, oh well it's true..."

Maybe not so funny, but I still crack myself up.

I think you have to have Drysdale blood in order to appreciate the delicate art of rewriting lyrics.
