Relocation Package

Little Miss Aubrey Reese is about to turn 5 months old and has not only never slept through the night yet, but has never spent a night in her crib. Aubrey quite enjoys her current set-up: snacking throughout the night, kicking Mommy in the stomach at will, spitting her paci out for Daddy to put back, and staying up past her brothers’ 8pm bedtime.
Evan and Owen were able to sleep with us they were 9 months, but I was working full time and commuting over three hours a day and it seemed like nighttime was the little bit of time I had to cuddle and hold them close. Aubrey however, seizes every opportunity since Mommy is home with her to makes sure she is being held to her liking. Standing up and facing over your shoulder or facing outwards to watch all the action.
With Mommy and Daddy desperately wanting better sleep, Aubrey is receiving a Relocation Package for Christmas. Or better yet, we are getting our king size bed back as a present from her. (Aubs just does not know how giving she is yet). We had put together what we thought was an outstanding package. She was receiving an “Underwater Sea Adventure” themed room, complete with rhinestone seahorses, a new green crib and changing table provided by her Gramma, and the most snuggly blanket ever. But Aubrey must have inherited some negotiating skills and has been holding out for the finished product. Her bedroom which never was fully completed will need to be done before the New Year.
Along with gaining our bed and sleep back comes so other advantages...

My closet has space for my own stuff again. Aubrey's items took up half my shelving and a 1/4 of my hanging space.

Relocation can be a lot of hard work, but can really pay off in the end. Ben and I are going to finally finish Aubrey's bedroom so we can say she is out of temp housing and settled into her permanent placement.
